Alex Call is no stranger to the music business. You've heard him as the lead singer/songwriter and guitarist with legendary 70's group Clover whose members included Huey Lewis and John McFee. With Clover he recorded five albums. Clover was also Elvis Costello's backing band on his first album, "My Aim Is True". You've known him as the writer (or co-writer) of the Billboard Top 40 hit songs "Power of Love" (Huey Lewis and the News/# 1), "Perfect World" (Huey Lewis and the News/# 3), "867-5309/Jenny" (Tommy Tutone/# 4), "Little Too Late" (Pat Benatar/# 20), "Just Take My Heart" (Mr. Big/# 16), "Love Is Gone" (Carlene Carter), and "New Romeo" by Southside Johnny and the Asbury Dukes, among numerous others. In the 80's and early 90's he has made two critically acclaimed solo albums for Arista and Catch-a-Rabbit Records."Book of Time", the new 14-song/65 min. album recorded with long-time friends Lorin Rowan (Rowan Brothers), Larry Cragg (Neil Young), Jerry Cortez, Jeff Watson (Night Ranger) a.o., will be another smash hit for the charismatic singer/songwriter.
